rust and bronze ombre ballet tutu

I thought when I stopped working for the NHS I could devote more time to the creation of the ballet tutus.  However, what I found out is that there are still so many other things which take up my time.  I realised that I was missing out on family weekend activities as I was having to schedule in customers to come for bookings, fittings and collections at times that suited them evenings and weekends; and we all know how little spare time a dance mum has trying to fit in anything which is outside dance classes and festivals.

I must admit, I felt a little like the proverbial hamster going round on that little wheel as I was chained to the sewing machine day and night.  It wasn’t why I gave up my NHS day job.  I wanted to be happy and love what I do and be creative.  I must admit, I was starting to resent the intrusion of the tutu mums and demands on my time a bit.

I decided I needed a break from custom tutus and completed all orders early and didn’t plan in any new ones for the beginning of this year.  When I felt like creating, I made a stretch ready to wear ballet tutu.  In my mind, I thought I have a wonderful website here with a shop, I could let many more children access the tutus if they are available just to purchase as ready made as long as there was a selection of sizes.

I made the rookie mistake of taking a photo and uploading each tutu as I had finished it.  OOPS! The completed ready to wear tutus barely got any views as they were snapped up and bought within days of them going on line and I had a change to tell anyone about them.

I am currently completing at least one in each size and will put the up on the website and keep adding more different colours designs and sizes.  My aim is to have a range of colours and sizes available for purchase. But if you are wanting a ballet tutu, please keep checking as they go quickly.  You can subscribe to the website and be notified when products become available.

I will no longer be generally accepting bespoke orders for stretch ballet tutus, which means I can concentrate on bespoke structured tutus and fittings, and I am not getting stressed about all the deadline clashes.

Bye for now
